A Warriors Journey

For my art project my class was told to think up an idea for the theme 'Journey'. For example you could choose to look into the cycle of a butterfly or how a piece of fruit decays over time, the Journey of it. I chose to look into Dreams because they're unpredictable and so incredibly interesting from just ordinary life, in my dream I had the possibility of being a Warrior or a Native American Woman maybe even someone in a nightmare!

The image above was taken with a Canon 600D by a good friend of mine. I wanted my idea to be set in the woods and luckily I had the perfect spot near where I live, it also happened to have a sectioned off area because of a strong wind that had recently hit England which brought some of the trees down where we were shooting.
Which is why in the images you can see some red tape and some trees sadly snapped in half, although it did help out with creating a really good shot for my work. While we were shooting I had forgotten to remove my coat from the scene so I had to remove it while I was editing the photos later on, I changed some of the Hue/Saturation settings to make the image brighter and more contrasted in colour. I decided to sharpen parts of the trees to give them more of a harsh edge, by using the curves effect I made the background around me appear as though it had been raining.

For this image I wanted to keep the colour from looking cold and damp and just brightened up the image changing the contrast and also making my outfit and hair stand out more in the process.

This image is the same as the first one in editing but the photo itself is just slightly different as I was standing at a different angle

The image above was also taken in the same place just outside of the wooded area, it was really nice to capture the willow trees's leaves around me as though I was looking around to find out where I had to go next on my journey!

This image is the original, no editing was taken place here. (If there was any it would just be a contrast and hue boost)

I really like this image because you can see a wider angle of the scene/set where we was using to shoot in, very tall trees had fallen down from the harsh winds and like I said earlier about the tape being put around them so people wouldn't get hurt. Naturally I went inside and said it was the perfect place for my idea - capturing the events that had happened naturally.

The image had been edited with the same effects as the first image at the top ^

These lasts two images (above & below) have only been edited by boosting up the contrast and hue/saturation abit more and sharpening the image as some areas I found were a tad blurry.

They were taken by my boyfriend in his garden, I was borrowing his bow & arrow along with his crossbow for the effect of me being a warrior I wanted to have/show some kind of weapon. It was such a beautiful day when we were shooting, as you can see in the photos my boyfriend captured some sunlight orbs and you can also see the brightness of the sun in the top right-hand corner.

For my outfit I was wearing:

Black Bodycon Dress from Ebay for about £5-£10
Peace Necklace from a Cosplay/Comic-Con Convention up London called MCM Expo, which was £7
Brown/Beige Elasticated Belt with Buckle At the Front also from Ebay for about £5-£10 (Including P&P)
Burgundy/Wine coloured woolen tights that were £5 from Peacocks
Black Military Styled Boots from Newlook between £20-£35
Brown Leather Gloves Also from Expo for £12

Pink & Purple Hair!

A few weeks ago I decided to bleach all of my hair to a blonde so I could dye my hair using Semi - Permanent colours, which means they only last a few weeks so you can dye your hair a new/different colour when ever you like!

After I had gone blonde I dyed my hair half pink and purple and the dyes I used where:

Hot Purple by Crazy Colour (mixed with) Violet by Directions
Cyclamen by Crazy Colour

Here is a video link to how I dyed my hair those colours - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3SZXL7l39Tw

Here is a link to how I got my hair blonde - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mvt2BrKT-Qw

In the photos above I am wearing Micro-Loops hair extensions, my natural hair length is just past my chest. If you'd like to check out the extensions video click here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocixwAfS3DU

The dyes I had used were very good and my hair colour lasted at least 3 - 4 weeks but faded at the ends quicker, the purple faded to a blue (which looked quite nice actually) and the pink faded to a light pink/orangey colour. If you're looking for some good semi-permanent brands of hair dye then I recommend these too!

Pandora Charm Bracelet!

A few months ago (July) my boyfriend went on holiday to Tenerife for two weeks and when he came home he arrived with many gorgeous gifts!

The most amazing one was the Pandora Charm bracelet which he had chosen all by himself! I love each and every charm he chose I couldn't believe how well he did because he had picked ones that I would have chosen myself, which just shows how well he knows me.

He also bought me:

A 'Hippie Chick' style watch,
Marc Jacobs travel sized perfumes (which all smell lush btw!),
And a cute wooden storage box for me to keep my jewellery in.

I will probably update again if I get more charms in the future just to show how my charm bracelet has grown!

My Jewellery Line!

Okay! So for awhile now I've been meaning to make a website so I can sell my jewellery and I decided to put my first item on a website called Etsy.

I mostly make bracelets at the moment as I'm just getting started but I'll probably make necklaces and things in the future! I make my bracelets with random beads and wire, in the picture above I've used a blue star and a few small round coloured beads.

Here is a link to my Etsy - http://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/EmysDestinyCreations

Here is a link to the bracelet I'm currently selling - https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/151822755/blue-star-bead-bracelet

At the moment I can only ship to people in the UK but once I get used to selling my jewellery I'll probably sell to other countries too.

I have a video where I talk about my jewellery line abit more, here is the link if you'd like to check it out - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NyL-1D7AEgI

When you purchase an item from my site you'll receive either a small tag or card from me to say thankyou!

I hope you like my jewellery, message me if you'd like a customised order and I'll see what I can do. Don't forget to tell your friends too!

Live Colour XXL 00A Absolute Platinum

As you've probably noticed I have purple hair, which means with having this vibrant colour there is always one big 'Up Keep' I have to do every couple of months with is ... Bleaching the roots of my natural hair colour ... It is a pain but it's worth it!

So I have tried many, many products to achieve platinum blonde hair and I find that the easiest and quickest way to get that is by using this product by Schwarzkopf - Colour XXL 00A Absolute Platinum. As I only touch up on my roots every now and then it's not too damaging on my hair because I bleach it from my natural colour, if I was to bleach unnatural colours on my hair that are permanently dyed - That would probably fry it!

I have a YouTube video on how I touch up on my roots using another product but I wasn't to keen on it at all so I'll be sticking to my useful bleach/dye kit by Schwarzkopf.

In the box you get:

- Instructions
- Gloves
- Powder bleach
- Developing cream tube
- Mixture bottle
- Conditioner

I recommend this product for people who dye their hair unnatural colours often and want a good quick bleach/dye kit to touch up on their roots or dye all over. Have fun colouring your hair!

Marc Jacobs Gift Sets!

Last Christmas (2012) I recieved a beautiful gift from my Boyfriend and it was these lovely perfumes from Marc Jacobs!

The perfumes are packaged in seperate boxes which match the colours of the perfume bottles, inside the bottles are placed in a container to keep them nice and neat.

For the Marc Jacobs Daisy gift set you recieve a 100ml perfume bottle with a complementing body lotion and 4ml travel size to pop in your handbag for when ever you want to freshen up on that lovely Daisy essence.
In the Marc Jacobs Oh Lola gift set you'll find a 50ml perfume bottle with a silky shower gel containing 150ml and some body lotion of 150ml too! So after every shower you'll find yourself smelling deliciously fruity.

''A sparkling, fruity floral, oh, lola! captures the flirtatious essence of her easy charm. Oh, Lola! opens with a refreshing top note of effervescent raspberry. Her pink femininity is reflected in the beautiful peony heart. A sensual elegance with addictive vanilla in the dry down leaves an unforgettable flirtatious touch.''

I've been using both these perfumes every day for the past 2months now and I still have two completely full bottles so I'm glad that they will last me a very long time!

Pink Is So Hip

Another summer outfit I would wear as I love the cute look of the hot pants and knee high socks together.

This outfit includes a sleeveless checkered shirt with white and pink dip dyed shorts, a pair of long grey socks, pink converses, mascara, sunglasses, feather extensions and blue head phones along with jewellery.

Purple Delights

An outfit I thought of awhile ago, as my favourite colour is purple I mixed up a few things that suited my style. This look is more of a summer theme but the style is up to date with the 'galaxy cosmic' trend that's going on at the moment.
